In 1985 a film called "Fright Night" rocked cult horror fandom with a frankly ridiculous concept: a teenager, who is an avid horror film fanatic, gets some new neighbors who happen to be vampires. No, it's not the cleverest film ever, but Doctor Who viewers will be excited to know that David Tennant has been cast as Peter Vincent.In the original film this character was the host of a late-night horror show, but this time around he is reported to be a Vegas-styled magician whose act involves horror-styled imagery. He will claim to be a vampire expert who is not much help when the teens need his 'skills'. The character was the third billed in 1985, so presumably Tennant's character will be similarly important.
