Robin

Robin

RobinThis is an American Robin, a different bird to the European Robin although named after it because of the red markings.

I happened on it during my walk last weekend. It was a surprisingly brave bird and didn't immediately fly away when I came blundering onto the scene. I wasn't incredibly close, but enough so that I could use my telephoto lens to to get a halfway decent shot.

I think I misjudged the F stop though. Because although it focussed correctly the bird is not as sharply in focus as I would have liked. Of course a bigger zoom would have been a plus too, but that's expensive... stopping down is free.

What? You expected me to say something interesting here? That's what the blog posts are for.

Eoghann has often wondered if people read these little bio things we have to fill out everywhere on the internet and, assuming they do, why?
