ORBIS — Google Maps For The Roman Empire

This is a brilliant project! Using technology similar to Google maps, it lets you plot routes to various locations in the Roman Empire (factoring it methods of travel and time of year). Then it tells you how long and how expensive it would be.

It's a great way to help people understand just how involved travel was back then.
