Macro photos are fun to take. Getting in close to some­thing gives a very different perspec­tive on it. In this case this is a closeup of a tree root.

Unfor­tu­nately I can’t afford a fancy macro lens so I’m making do with a macro filter (basi­cally a magni­fying glass) and while it creates far more distor­tion than a proper lens the results are still quite pleasing.
