So a couple of weeks ago I posted a photo I'd taken called Islands In The Fog. It was a heavily stylized image, but the result was quite satisfying to me. And apparently to others because it even briefly made it onto Flickr's Explore. Which was kind of cool.
I thought it might be interesting to do a comparison image though and show the scene without the mist and with a more naturalistic look. And here it is. The composition is not identical because I was doing it from memory a week later, but it's pretty close.
It's amazing how much more green there is in only a week. But it also really shows how the mist changed the look of the landscape. Now you can see the scope of the river and the Blue Ridge Mountains behind.
