I'm glad the cracks in the wings don't put passengers at risk. But… could you just… fix them anyway?
Because in my experience the only thing that cracks do is get bigger over time. So, you know, fix em now?

That is scary… how long before we read of tragedy?
Well I'm inclined to believe them that there's no immediate risk. I just think the smart thing to do is fix it now rather than waiting till it is a risk.
As being a survivor of a plane incident (Air Transat Flight 236, August 01) I can safely say that one crack is far too many. A crack on my car bumper is one thing, a crack on a plane wing is a deadly risk.
it sounds kind of like….if the wall brackets of the bookshelf have cracks, the bookshelf isn't going to collapse. Heck, even if they break the bookshelf will be fine….unless something happens where it would have needed that bracket to, well… you know, hold it to the wall.
Count me as another vote for fix it now, please

Cracks in the wings aren't a problem until the wings fall off.
